Koyo’s stories are made for readers who hide in the margins.

Having grown up in an unsafe home, she writes to unlearn invisibility and to encourage taking up space. That’s the mission that tugged her through Montessori classrooms, human rights projects, and animation industry. No matter the final form, her works live in the tension of dark and light, depth and hues — with a voice that stays true to herself.

Koyo is a Vietnamese-Dutch story artist born in Japan, currently stationed in Milan. Divination, martial arts and internal alchemy fascinate her.

If she is not wrting, drawing, or over-analyzing story structure; you might find her hunting for the best pastry shops or trying to kick her own forehead in taichi sessions.

Are you a literary agent?
If you could see yourself journeying with me, I am waiting for you at letsgokoyo@gmail.com.

Additionally, I’m always ready to be a part of a collaborative lab, a cohort, or a think tank where I can contribute in meaningful work: Education, community building, and/or policymaking to protect vulnerable and marginalised groups. Don’t hesitate to reach out.
